"The Art of Storytelling" For Students ages 10-14 

with Mark Levine

Have you ever wanted to tell your story through characters and comic illustration? Mark Levine provides the perfect opportunity for students ages 10-14 to develop their own characters and stories, bringing their tales to life with storyboards over this 8 week course. 

Mark will guide students to students to layout and create  pages of sequential art. Mark will demonstrate and discuss various methods used in the process of layout, design and sequential art. Students will use their skills to visually narrate a story of their choosing into comic book format. Students will be using standard comic book boardsto sketch and draw the final work. Pencils, markers and comic book boards are included in the workshop fee. Students are invited to bring in their own drawing supplies to enhance tehir exploration of this workshop.

Tween Open Level Classes

For ages 9-12

Students will choose their area of focus for their session. Focus areas include "Pottery/Ceramics," "Technical Drawing," "Painting." Class is always taught by a certified art teacher. Students will receive individualized instruction while in a group setting; working at their own pace. Students must commit to their focus area for the duration of their session. 

Focus Areas:


Students will be given the opportunity to learn on a pottery wheel. Students may toggle between hand building with clay and using a pottery wheel. Students will learn foundational techniques with clay including coil, slab, pinching and glazing. All materials and firings included in tuition. 

Technical Drawing

Students will learn foundational skills in drawing such as composition, perspective, shading and accuracy. Students will work from still life, photographs and more.


Students will learn foundational skills in painting such as composition, perspective color mixing and accuracy. Students may work from photo references, still life and imagination.
