Adult pottery classes include 12 pounds (1 bag) of clay, glazing, and firing*. Additional clay can be purchased from the studio as needed. Students are encouraged to purchase their own starter pack. Tools are available at the studio for purchase. Please note oversized pieces will be subjected to firing fees.
Our adult pottery class is perfect for potters of all ranges, from the very beginner to the more experienced. Classes are open level, meaning students learn at their own space within a group of students who have varying levels of experience. On the first day of class, the instructor will acquaint all students with the basics of throwing pottery on a high-powered wheel. Throughout the course, students can expect to develop skills in throwing, trimming, hand building, glazing, and more throughout the 7-week session. Students will gain an appreciation of the firing process, learn to care for their tools, and properly clean their stations when class is through.
