In this 7-week, once weekly, 2-hour course, students ages 10 and up looking to develop creative skills in drawing and storytelling, will spend time learning how to develop characters and environments in a way to allow them to effectively share a story through images with their chosen audience. Students will learn about various storyboarding genres such as comic books, cartoons, and anime. The instructor will encourage students to bring their own creative thinking and ideas, providing prompts where necessary, to support students as they begin the storyboarding process. Methods of production for character development, stylistics and foundational drawing skills will be incorporated throughout the session. This course may also benefit students looking to build a portfolio.
