In this once weekly, 90-minute class, elementary aged students (approximately ages 5 to 9) will be guided in the art of hand-built ceramics. Each week, a teacher will lead students in a guided project, while allowing them to incorporate their own creative spin on their work. Students will learn the foundations of hand building techniques including slab rolling, coil rolling, score/slipping, trimming, pinching, wedging, glazing, painting, and cleaning and caring for their station. Note that students will NOT use the pottery wheel in this course. The last classes of the session will be reserved for glazing and painting. Final pieces are typically available one week after completion.
 
Make up classes are not guaranteed and must be scheduled within the current session. Make ups may be done in another age appropriate or lower class and pop ups if space is available. Single classes are subject to availability and are done by calling/emailing the studio directly. Drop in classes are $30 and non refundable. Payment must be received prior to class to guarantee the seat.
